ENGV's scope is to supply and commission a Nel MC500 2.5MW PEM hydrogen electrolyser.
On order, it was the largest electrolyser to be supplied to Australia.
Viva Energy is constructing a hydrogen refuelling station (HRS) as a part of an integrated fuels service station, a 'first-of-type' hydrogen production facility and associated retail service station offering.
The HRS will produce hydrogen via electrolysis, which will use power from the electricity grid. Hydrogen will be stored onsite as a high-pressure gas and used for gaseous hydrogen refuelling of heavy, fuel cell driven vehicles.
